Bashar al-Assad: 'Ankara will pay dearly for supporting terrorists' [Hisham Jaber @ PressTV]

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has warned Ankara that its support for militants fighting against Damascus will backfire on Turkey. Assad told a Turkish television that Ankara will pay dearly for backing anti-Syria terrorists. The Syrian leader also stressed that the militants will soon cause great troubles for Syria's northern neighbor. Since the start of the unrest in Syria over two years ago, Turkey has been financing and providing arms and logistical help to insurgents there. Many of the militants have links with al-Qaeda terror groups. President Assad also said remarks by Turkish prime minister about Syria are a bunch of lies.
